Staying away from the traditional garden terracotta pots these planters have the integrity and warmth of the earthenware clay present yet drawing the eye with bright analogous colors. Switching between sgraffito and water carving, the surface of these planters are finished with colored underglaze and burnished Redart terra sigillata. Also experimenting with new mediums, I made macrame hangers with ceramic beads to go with the tray-less planters.
