Elina Esther Jurado is a working artist from Miami, Florida. She received her BFA in Ceramics in 2013 from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her work has led to her to intern with several studios in Kansas City and Miami, as well as being honored the Partnership Scholarship to attend a summer workshop at the Penland School of Craft in 2012. Elina has exhibited in multiple shows at the Kansas City Art Institute, and debuted her work in the 2013 December Digital Debut at Red Star Studios.

In the Fall of 2014, she was accepted into the Artist Residency Program at the Carbondale Clay Center in Carbondale, CO. During her time in Colorado she was also awarded a scholarship to attend a two week workshop at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in the summer of 2015. Returning to Kansas City in 2017, she continues to develop and her studio practice and teaching skills as a Keep It Workshop Instructor and studio tenant at the Belger Arts Center.
